Jim and Janet Stephenson are pleased to welcome everyone back to Sol Andalusi every Thursday evening all year-no summer break!

Beginners' class from 7 to 9 p.m.  consists of waltz and quickstep for about 45 mins., then Latin, cha cha cha and rumba. They will also be teaching foxtrot, tango, bamba and jive as we progress. You can also learn popular sequence dances which would allow you to take part in the 50/50 dances held on the coast. The rest of the evening is a 50/50 dance in a relaxed atmosphere, so you can practise what you have learned. Jim and Janet are always there to help if your 2 left feet get in the way!
There was a slight hiccup earlier this year when Jim suffered a heart attack but he has now fully recovered and they are once again dancing inland and on the coast as before.
By way of background, Jim and Janet gained dance medals, then competed in Modern and Old Time Sequence all over England from 1997 until they moved here in late 2002. They won many competitions, culminating in the Blackpool Sequence Dance Festival at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool where they were finalists in 2001 and 2002.

Jim and Janet also give private lessons and are extremely patient and enthusiastic teachers. So no matter what level you think you may be, even if you can’t dance a step, there will be a good welcome for you in the Terrace Room at Sol Andalusi on any Thursday evening.

All this for only 3.00 euros per person, per evening!
