The Duplicate Bridge Club meets every Monday in the Goya Room at Sol Andalusi from 7:00 p.m. to approximately 10:00 p.m.  It is appreciated if members can plan on arriving 10-15 minutes earlier so the organisers can work out a plan of action for the evening, then the evening can start and finish pretty much on time.   Duplicate is really for experienced bridge players as there is more of a competitive edge than in Rubber bridge and once play commences there is not really time for teaching beginners; but players with a good knowledge of bridge can easily be incorporated into duplicate.  It is also preferrable to come with a partner or call the organisers to arrange for a partner as it is not possible to play with odd numbers.  We are a very friendly crowd, not too competitive but serious players who enjoy the challenge.
For further info please call Loma Rogers or Marcus Trollope on: 952 594 512/65 16 18 165 For Beginners, Improvers or those who simply prefer Rubber Bridge, there is a meeting every Thursday evening at the Albatross Restaurant on the A404(? A440) close to Lauro Golf, from 7 :00 p.m.  Depending on the numbers attending you will either play Rubber or Chicago Bridge and be ably assisted by longstanding members.  You will enjoy the company of a very jolly crowd in a happy and relaxed atmosphere.
For beginners, Pam Chapman is willing to run classes on a Monday at Sol Andalusi for a nominal charge.  Pam is one of our more competent players and has had great experience at club level in the UK, often running courses and tournaments.
Pam can be reached on 951 166 116 to arrange private, or group lessons.
