It
is a way of fundraising with cash benefits for
those participating.
HOW
DOES IT WORK?
Members buy a ‘number’ for 12 euros per
year. You are not limited to only one number
….. you can buy as many as you wish (each
number costs 12 euros). A quarterly draw of
numbers will be made (March, June, September,
and December) with 50% of the proceeds going to
TAPAS funds and the other 50% paid out as cash
prizes at each draw. So, for example, if 100
numbers have been sold TAPAS has collected a
total of 1200 euros. TAPAS keeps 50% (600
euros) and the remaining 600 euros is paid out
in the quarterly draws (150 euros each draw).
Rather than 1 winner collecting 150 euros we
have decided that there should be 5 winners
each draw (for instance – 1st number out of the
hat receives 75e, 2nd 30e, 3rd 20e, 4th 15e,
and 5th 10e).
Of course there may be members who wish to buy
a number (or more numbers) throughout the
course of the year. This is not a problem as
the more numbers we sell the more prize money
there will be for the next quarterly draw!
